Project: Glow-Worm 30SXI natural gas fired condensing boiler installation.

School staff accommodation Ascot, Berkshire

Apr 2004

Project: Replacing a leaking Glow Worm Complheat 40, of seasonal efficiency (SAP rating) 76.5%, SEDBUK ‘E’ rated. The lowest efficiency for new boilers currently allowed, in order to comply with Building Regulation Approved Document L1 - Conservation of fuel and power in dwellings (2002 edition), is a SEDBUK ‘D’ rated boiler. The replacement boiler of choice was a SEDBUK 'A' Rated, natural gas fired, Glowworm 18SXI.

Bracknell, Berkshire.

Mar 2004

Project: Installing a Glow Worm 18SXI, natural gas fired system boiler of modulating output 4.95KW to 18.57 KW (16,889 to 63,360Btu/hour) a wall mounted condensing boiler. The 18SXi has a seasonal efficiency (SAP rating) of 90.6% and is SEDBUK ‘A’ rated.

Movie Star residence, Buckinghamshire.

Jan 2004

Project: Installing, at short notice, a new Worcester Danesmoor PJ32-50 CF Class C2 Kerosene fired boiler to replace the long serving Myson Velair boiler. Relining chimney, installing extra ventilation and bringing system up to current Part L compliance.

Private residence, Wokingham

July 2003

Project: 2003 Installing a Grant Multipass 70/90 BF Class C2 Kerosene fired boiler in a private residence in Wokingham. Oil storage, supply pipeline, controls and system refurbishment to Part L Building Regulations.

Tropical Green House

Jan 2003

Project: Comprising 52 metres of 100mm N.B. BS.1387 heavy gauge steel tube to form a 26 linear metre, horizontal loop with two pipes at 250mm centres, mounted on purpose made floor standing, wall secured steel brackets. The whole was hydraulically pressure tested then finished in two coats of red oxide paint primer, before being connected to the existing oil fired LPHW glasshouse heating system.

Swimming pool for private house in Farnham, Surrey.

Jan 2003

Project: Supplying, fitting and commissioning a wall mounted Worcester Bosch HE27 System, natural gas fired, condensing boiler, complete with vertical balanced flue. This very high efficiency appliance is rated at 27 KW output and has a SEDBUK 'A' rating for seasonal efficiency. Removing the redundant, prefabricated chimney and closing off the now excessive and wasteful ventilation.

Swimming pool for private house in Esher, Surrey.

Sept 2002

Project: A Worcester Greenstar 35HE Plus natural gas fired, condensing, Combi boiler was installed complete with vertical balanced flue. The installation was conceived on the premise of load sharing and thermal storage, over a 24 hour continuous run time.
Heat losses from the pool and enclosure were low and slow; therefore the boiler could divert a 100% of output to satisfy the infrequent hot water use via its integral plate heat exchanger, without noticeable loss of pool water or building air temperatures. The pool water temperature was simultaneously raised to swim temperature over a five day period with the aid of the air dehumidification unit and pool thermal cover contributing.

Private residence

April 2002

Project: Removal of badly installed and ineffective 70,000 Btu/hour oil fired central heating cooker, and replaced with a Thermecon WMI 50/80 wall mounted kerosene oil fired boiler. Complete with vertical balanced flue, Tiger Loop oil deaeration device, new plastic bunded oil storage tank, and new pre insulated Grade 3 indirect copper hot water cylinder. Domestic hot water time control, Honeywell Y plan heating controls system. Programmable room thermostat and a DU145 automatic system bypass. A new Grundfos circulation pump. Some new resized radiators, with new thermostatic and lockshield radiator valves throughout. System was cleansed with Sentinel Deposit Remover prior to modification.

Private residence near Henley on Thames, Oxon.

Sept 2001

Project: Comprising the removal of the existing 25 year old, 500,000 Btu/hour (146.5 kW) central heating boiler and 68,000 Btu/hour (20 kW) domestic hot water boiler, conventional chimneys, pipework and existing controls. Replacing with one Archie Kidd (Thermal) model 3B rated 360, 000 Btu/hour (105.5 kW), balanced flued, kerosene fired VHE boiler (91.6% efficiency based on the gross calorific value, 88% annual efficiency) associated pipe work and controls. Our heat loss calculations indicated that the original boiler plant was oversized and our intention has been to maintain the clients comfort while greatly reducing the client's fuel bill and flue emissions.

Country House, Hampshire

Nov 1999

Project: The design and installation of a 63 radiator hydronic heating system. Comprising six control zones utilizing Honeywell zone valves, Honeywell VT200 thermostatic radiator valves, radio link room thermostats and six Grundfos UPE zone pumps on a Grundfos pumped primary loop. EN 1057-R250 copper tube and capillary fittings used throughout.
